Operating since 1995, the Rushmore Hockey Association has taken pride in the advancement of youth hockey in the Rapid City community. The program has taken flight over the past few years, garnering state championships and tournament victories on a seemingly effortless basis, behind extremely gifted players and immensely talented leaders and coaches. The Rapid City Rush organization has been a proud supporter of Rapid City youth hockey since the team's inception and first season of play in the 2008-09 Central Hockey League season, and continues this support and friendship as the hockey community grows in the area at an exponential rate.

The Northern Hills Amateur Hockey Association is dedicated to the promotion of youth hockey, figure skating, and recreational skating in the Northern Black Hills of South Dakota. The organization started back in 2013, with the Chinook brand taking off in 2020. The program relies on cold Spearfish winters for the ideal outdoor rink, but also hold practices in Rapid City at Roosevelt Park Ice Arena. They're working on bringing an indoor rink to the Northern Hills through fundraising and corporate partnerships. The Rush is proud to support the Chinook and the Northern Hills Amateur Hockey Association!
