(Rapid City, SD) – Today, the Rapid City Rush, in conjunction with the Central Hockey League, announced the 2013-14 regular season schedule. The Rush will begin their sixth season on the road against the Wichita Thunder on October 18th. The Rush will open the 2013-14 home schedule on October 25th versus the expansion Brampton Beast who are coached by former Rush defenseman and Assistant Coach Mark DeSantis. “Once again, we are very pleased with the regular season schedule,” said Rush General Manager Tim Hill. “We were able to secure some prime dates throughout the year, including the holidays which will benefit fans, staff, and players alike. I think our season ticket holders will be very happy to see the diversity in the schedule as well. We play each of the opposing teams at least two times at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center, but also host the Denver Cutthroats for seven games, which will further build that rivalry.” Key home dates include a trio of contests against the Cutthroats around the Thanksgiving holiday (November 27th, 29th and 30th) and a three-game set versus the Missouri Mavericks following Christmas (December 26th, 27th and 28th). The Rush will enjoy two separate five-game home stands, one in mid-January, and the other through mid-March. The CHL’s 10 member teams will all play in the Berry Conference with participating teams made up of the Allen Americans, Arizona Sundogs, Brampton Beast, Denver Cutthroats, Missouri Mavericks, Quad City Mallards, Rapid City Rush, St. Charles Chill, Tulsa Oilers and Wichita Thunder.
