(RAPID CITY, SD) – The Rapid City Rush announced today that the 2013 Rush Golf Tournament that was postponed last fall will take place on Wednesday April 23rd with a 9am shotgun start at The Golf Club at Red Rock. The Golf Club at Red Rock has been rated the #1 Public Golf Course in South Dakota by Golfweek Magazine & Golf Digest for 11 Years Running. This year's tournament will feature the opportunity for teams to golf with the players and coaches of the 2013-14 Rapid City Rush, and will feature a chance to win a car from Queen City Motors. Teams will receive complimentary gift bags that include a Rapid city Rush golf hat and Rush golf towel, as well as a free “burgers and brats” lunch from the Red Rock Golf Club clubhouse. Concluding the event will be the awarding of tournament prizes as well as a silent auction that will include items such as signed specialty jerseys.
Most of the 2013-14 Rapid City Rush players and coaches will be in attendance, not only to sign autographs, but take part in the golf outing as well. This year's tournament will follow a "step-aside scramble" format, and will allow a member of the Rush to join each team to create a "five-some". Players will also be able to participate in the various putting, driving and closest to the pin contests as part of the tournament.
For those who do not wish to golf, but are still interested in supporting the tournament, there are still vacancies available for hole sponsorships at $100 each, plus other sponsorship opportunities are available, as well as gift bag donations, and auction prizes.
The entry fee for playing in the Rapid City Rush Golf Tournament is $600 for a four-person team, while individuals may play for $150. The deadline to secure your spot as a player or hole sponsor is tomorrow, April 22nd, at 5 PM. Come to or call the Rush office at 716-7825 for details.
