(RAPID CITY, SD) – Rush defenseman Riley Weselowski has had a longstanding relationship with the Humane Society of the Black Hills. He will give back to this organization that has given him so much in a special event for the Humane Society on September 21st.
“I went to the Humane Society with Justin Sawyer awhile back and had no intention of getting a dog. I met Jax and fell in love with him and he’s become such a huge part of my life,” said Rush defenseman Riley Weselowski. “Ever since then I’ve been looking for a way to give back to the Humane Society, so I teamed up with Deb and I can’t wait to help with this event in late September.”
The event is Wine and Dine for Canines (and Felines), and it will take place on September 21st at Juniper/Uncorked on Sheridan Lake Road. There will be two seatings for the event, with the first one taking place at 3 PM and the second at 6 PM. Tickets for the event are $50, which covers dinner, wine, and entertainment. There will be raffles and a “mystery auction” throughout the event. To order your tickets, call 391-7900
“We’re planning on having dinner and wine, as well as an auction that evening,” said Deb Michaelree of Cater Two Productions. “We want everyone to come and see some local pet sponsors and pet affiliated businesses in the area, and hopefully through this we can raise money for the Humane Society as well.”
“We’ll also have some pets from the Humane Society at the event, as well as speakers explaining how much their pets and the Humane Society have meant to them,” Weselowski concluded. “I’ll be playing some acoustic music as well. We’re planning on a fun and relaxing night, and hope that we can help give back and raise some money for the Humane Society.”
