(RAPID CITY, SD) – The Rapid City Rush announced today a pair of preseason tilts to take place in early October. For a second consecutive season, the Rush will square off against the Colorado Eagle in two exhibition matchups prior to the start of the 2015/16 ECHL Season.
“It’s always a very competitive game against our archrivals in the Colorado Eagles,” said Rush Head Coach Joe Ferras. “This will be a great test and evaluation for our returning players and our new players as we start next season in the West Division against a team we will see 12 times, including 7 at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center.”
The games will be part of a “home-and-home” series, with the first game taking place in Colorado at the Budweiser Events Center on Friday, October 9th, and the final game taking place in Rapid City 24 hours later at Premier Home Mortgage Ice in Rushmore Plaza Civic Center on October 10th. Last season, the Rush and the Eagles split two preseason games, both decided by a goal, before playing in 2 regular season matchups in Rapid City. Both teams split that series as well, and will see each other 12 times this upcoming ECHL season.
