(RAPID CITY, SD) – The Arizona Coyotes, NHL affiliate of the Rapid City Rush, have announced that forward Dan O’Donoghue has been recalled to the AHL’s Springfield Falcons.
Since his assignment to the Rush by the Coyotes began in training camp, O’Donoghue hasn’t missed a contest, playing in all 11 Rush games. The second-year pro from Port Jefferson, NY, heads to the AHL as the second-leading scorer on the Rush roster, amassing a Rush team-lead 5 goals along with 3 assists for 8 points with a +2 rating. The former Mercyhurst Laker (NCAA) began this season in the main training camp of the Arizona Coyotes, and later the Springfield Falcons before he was assigned to the Black Hills.
The Rush meet their new West Division rivals, the Utah Grizzlies, for three matchups in four nights this week, after splitting last weekend’s series with them in West Valley City, UT, claiming 3 of a possible 4 points. Wednesday night’s puck drop is slated for 6:35 p.m. MST at Premier Home Mortgage Ice in Rushmore Plaza Civic Center, while Friday’s and Saturday’s puck drops are scheduled for 7:05 p.m. MST on November 20th and 21st. Friday’s game marks the Rush’s “Armed Forces Night”, in which the Rush will wear specialty jerseys commemorating active and retired U.S. Military Personnel.
