(RAPID CITY, SD) – The Rapid City Rush, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Arizona Coyotes, visited the young talented players showcasing their skills and love for hockey in the first-ever Rushmore Cup Tournament on Thursday.
Nugget and Rush staff members took in some hockey in June as the Rushmore Cup began with Opening Ceremonies at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center Ice Arena. The inaugural running of the tournament sees 16 teams from six different states in three different divisions battling head-to-head all weekend long, with games being played at both the RPCC Ice Arena and at Roosevelt Ice Arena. This week’s edition of the tournament features Major and Minor Squirt level, and Minor PeeWee level teams, while next week’s edition features Major and Minor Bantam level, and Major PeeWee level teams.
