(RAPID CITY, SD) – The Rapid City Rush, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Arizona Coyotes, announced today that The Pines at Rapid City has been named the “Official Home of the Rapid City Rush”, and that they are hosting their grand opening celebration on Saturday, October 1st, from 1-4 p.m.
“We are very excited to enter into a partnership with The Pines at Rapid City. The opportunity to house our players in an absolutely gorgeous apartment complex with all of the amenities is always a priority,” said Rush General Manager, Joe Ferras. “With our players traveling from all over North America to come to Rapid City to play professional hockey, it always a priority to put our players in first class housing, and with The Pines at Rapid City, we have exceeded our expectations. Working with Cami Hinz and Tonya Beaird has made this process seamless.”
The Pines is a brand new apartment community located in the “Gateway to the Black Hills” in Rapid City, South Dakota. This 124 unit apartment complex offers spacious one, two, and three bedroom floor plans loaded with amenities such as: full kitchen package with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, breakfast bar & immense counter space, washer & dryer in each unit, large walk-in closets, 9ft. ceilings, high-end designer finishes, extra-wide in-building heated parking stalls, fitness center, community room, and private patios and balconies.
This season, The Pines will serve as the “Official Home of the Rapid City Rush”, meaning that our players will live there for the duration of the season. On Saturday, October 1st, The Pines will host a grand opening event, and the Rapid City Rush players will be in attendance to meet and greet residents of The Pines, as well as the public. With all of the new players coming to town, this is a great way to kick off our 2016 Training Camp. All of our loyal local media outlets will be in attendance for the event.
“Simply put, this apartment complex is off the charts. I don’t think I’ve ever lived in a place this well put together before in my life,” Rush defenseman Michael Young said of The Pines at Rapid City. “We’re in such a great location: there’s plenty to do around the complex, and the rink is close to where we are. On behalf of the players, we’d like to thank the Rush organization and The Pines for their partnership, and we’re looking forward to a great season. Come out this Saturday and meet all of us before Training Camp starts!”
Some events at the grand opening will include several drawings for various items, including Rush signed sticks, a signed Rush jersey, and four tickets to the Rush preseason game on October 7th. Other drawings will include donated prizes from Black Hills Gold, Runnings, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Coca-Cola. We hope to see you all there Saturday from 1-4 p.m.!
