ANNUAL SEASON TICKET MEMBER BANQUET SLATED FOR WEDNESDAY

(RAPID CITY, SD) – The Rapid City Rush, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Arizona Coyotes, would like to invite all Rush Season Ticket Members and Corporate Sponsors to our 9th Annual Season Ticket Member Banquet this Wednesday, October 12th, at 6 p.m. in Rushmore Hall.

“After two excellent Rush hockey games over the last weekend, the beginning of the 2016-17 regular season is now upon us. We are excited to hold our 9th Annual Season Ticket Member Banquet,” said Rush General Manager, Joe Ferras. “It is a great opportunity for our fans to get to meet all of the new players, and for us as an organization to thank the best Season Ticket Members and Corporate Partners in the ECHL for their loyal support over the last nine seasons. With the team Coach DeSantis and Coach Tetrault have assembled, along with our great relationship with the Arizona Coyotes, this year looks to be very promising in our pursuit of the Kelly Cup.”

Season Ticket Members and Corporate Partners will receive their season tickets at the banquet, which will take place to celebrate the beginning of our ninth season of hockey in Rapid City. Those in attendance will also learn about the new season ticket system through tutorials that will educate our Season Ticket Members and Corporate Partners about how their ticket cards work. In addition to the above, a meal will be provided and attendees will get to meet the entire 2016-17 Rapid City Rush team throughout the evening.

The Rush will also hold an auction of all of the jerseys worn on the last game of the 2015-16 season, including jerseys of returning players from last season (Ryan Walters, Ryan Misiak, Lindsay Sparks, Josh MacDonald, and Michael Young). In addition to the auction, two lucky Season Ticket Members will be selected to receive a Rushmore Thunder specialty jersey that the Rush wore last weekend in their preseason tilts against the Colorado Eagles. The two lucky winners will have their jersey customized with a name of their choice by the Rush organization.

The 2016 Rapid City Rush home opener is this Friday, October 14th, against the archrival Colorado Eagles. The game, which officially signifies the start of the 2016-17 ECHL season, is slated for a 7:05 p.m. MST puck drop, and features a magnetic schedule giveaway, provided by Stuart Martin. Black Hills Energy, the game-night sponsor, will give out energy-efficient light bulbs at the game as well. The “Fur Circus”, a traveling group of mascots, will also be in attendance, bringing their family fun shenanigans to Premier Home Mortgage Ice in Rushmore Plaza Civic Center to help us ring in the new hockey season.
