(RAPID CITY, SD) – The Rapid City Rush, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Arizona Coyotes, announced today that the team will hold its 6th “McRush Night” next week on Wednesday, November 9th.
“McDonald’s and the Walla family has been a loyal Corporate Partner to the Rush, and has supported the team in many endeavors within the community. ‘McRush Night’ has been a tremendous success for the last five years,” said Rush General Manager, Joe Ferras. “It is great for our fans to get to meet the players and staff in a different environment, especially since our move to the ECHL, where in many cases our players are younger and experiencing Rapid City for the first time. This is a really fun night, and when paired with an opportunity to raise money that stays in our community makes it that much better.”
Since 2011, the Rush and long-time Corporate Partner, McDonalds, have teamed up for “McRush Night”. On “McRush Night”, Rush players will serve customers at three local McDonald’s locactions between 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m, and half of the money raised in that time frame will be donated to The Rush Foundation. In the last five editions of “McRush Night”, a total of $16,500 has been donated to The Rush Foundation.
“‘McRush Night’ is a fun time for us, the customers, and the Rush players. We have had great success partnering together to raise money for the Rush Foundation,” said Wendy Walla, local Owner and Operator of McDonald’s in Rapid City. “Being a part of the community is something both of our organizations value, and ‘McRush Night’ is a way we can give back together to the community that supports us. We are looking forward to another fun night together.”
The locations participating in our 6th “McRush Night” are at 2223 W. Main Street, 804 E. North Street, and 720 Cleveland Street. A complete listing of the Rush players participating at the respective locations will be released at a later date.
