(RAPID CITY, SD) – The Rapid City Rush, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Arizona Coyotes, announced today that rookie defenseman Dysin Mayo has been re-called to the AHL’s Tuscon Roadrunners.
Mayo gets re-called to the AHL after registering 3 points in his last two games against the Utah Grizzlies and the Idaho Steelheads. Those 3 assists mark his first points in a Rush uniform, and now give him 5 career assists between the Rush, the Roadrunners, and the former Springfield Falcons in the AHL. This season, the 6’0”, 180-pound blue liner has 3 games with Tucson under his belt with a lone assist. Prior to playing professionally, the Victoria, British Columbia native skated in 248 games over four seasons with the Edmonton Oil Kings of the WHL, where he recorded 28 goals, 106 assists, and 134 points. With the Oil Kings, he won the 2014 WHL Championship and Memorial Cup Championship, and was drafted by the Arizona Coyotes in the 2014 NHL Draft (5th Rd-#133).
