(RAPID CITY, SD) – The Rapid City Rush, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Arizona Coyotes, announced today that the final voting round for the team’s 10th anniversary logo contest has officially begun. This round of voting will last from today to Friday, June 9th.
More than 30 logos were submitted by loyal fans of the Rapid City Rush over the last month, dating back to when the team made the historic announcement of a new 10-year lease to play in Rushmore Plaza Civic Center Ice Arena. Fans can head to www.rapidcityrush.com/logo-contest/ to choose which logo they feel should represent the 10th season of Rush hockey in the Black Hills. **NOTE: YOU CAN ONLY VOTE ONCE ON THE WEB PAGE.**
“There are always achievements and milestones in an organization’s history that are very important and should be celebrated, and for the Rapid City Rush to be entering into our 10th season is a major milestone”, said Rush General Manager, Joe Ferras. “The 10th anniversary logo contest marks one of several interactive events that will take place throughout the 2017-18 ECHL season. The Rush fans have made this organization an elite franchise since day one, and this continues with their participation in choosing our commemorative logo. The overwhelming response of over 30 submissions by Rush Nation only heightens the excitement that comes when a franchise enters into a very special season. As an organization, we feel this is the most important year of our franchise, both on and off the ice, and are very excited to celebrate our 10th season with the best fans in the ECHL.”
The winning logo will be featured on our merchandise, jerseys, and even our center-ice logo in the arena. If the winning logo was designed by a fan, then that fan will receive a specialty jersey of their choice from our upcoming slate of specialty nights in the 2017-18 ECHL season, those nights of which are yet to be determined.
