(RAPID CITY, SD) – The Rapid City Rush, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Minnesota Wild, announced today that there will be a pair of preseason exhibition games against the archrival Colorado Eagles prior to the start of the 2017-18 ECHL season.
The Rush and Eagles will square off in two preseason games: the first coming on Friday, October 6th, at Budweiser Events Center, and the second to be held at Rushmore Plaza Civic Center on Saturday, October 7th. Both games are slated for a 7:05 p.m. MST start.
As in years past, Full Season Ticket Members earn free admission into the Saturday night game, while the rest of the public can purchase seats ANYWHERE in the arena for just $15. The Rush will wear preseason specialty jerseys for both contests, brought to you by Coca-Cola, that pay homage to the local Rushmore Thunder hockey program, which will be auctioned off following the conclusion of the Saturday night game. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to Rushmore Thunder.
The Rush and Eagles will meet on the ice 15 times this upcoming season, 7 of which will be played in Rushmore Plaza Civic Center. Last season, the Rush went 5-7-2 in 14 matchups against the Eagles.
