(RAPID CITY, SD) – The Rapid City Rush, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Minnesota Wild, announced the rosters for tonight’s FREE scrimmage to the public tonight at 7:05 p.m. at Premier Home Mortgage Ice in Rushmore Plaza Civic Center.
The scrimmage is FREE to all who wish to attend. Doors will open at 6:05 p.m., with pre-game warmup taking place shortly after. Once warmup is done, the ice will be flooded, and each player on both teams will be announced prior to the start of the national anthem.
In order for the coaches to evaluate the scrimmage from a higher vantage point, Head Coach Daniel Tetrault has tabbed Mark Binetti, “Voice of the Rush”, and Head Equipment Manager Patrick Dolan to coach his squad, while Assistant Coach Nello Ferrara has Head Athletic Trainer Cody Lindhorst and Training Camp Attendant Rick Kinstler coaching his.
There will be two 25-minute halves with stoppage time, and the ice will be flooded at halftime. In the second half, the game will transition to four-on-four at the first whistle with less than 10 minutes remaining, then three-on-three at the first whistle with less than 5 minutes remaining in regulation. At the conclusion of regulation, each player will participate in a shootout, with each shootout goal counting towards each teams score.
