NELSON TRADED TO NORFOLK

(RAPID CITY, SD) – The Rapid City Rush, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Minnesota Wild, announced today that forward Logan Nelson has been traded to the Norfolk Admirals in exchange for future considerations.

Nelson came back to the Rush organization last season after beginning the 2016-17 campaign with the Wichita Thunder. The 6’1”, 210-pound forward played in 18 games with the Thunder and contributed 2 goals, 6 assists, and 8 points before returning to the Black Hills on New Year’s Eve. When he came back, Nelson averaged just under a point-per-game average with 10 goals, 15 assists, and 25 points in just 31 games.

Originally from Rogers, Minnesota, Nelson has tabulated 82 points (41g-41ast) in 146 games. Prior to turning pro, Nelson played three seasons for the WHL’s Victoria Royals, where he piled up 159 points (60g-99a) in 179 games, and was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2012 NHL Draft (5th Rd-#133).
