(RAPID CITY, SD) – The Rapid City Rush, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Minnesota Wild, announced at the team’s open forum on Wednesday night that Head Coach Daniel Tetrault and Rush Broadcaster Mark Binetti will team up for a podcast this summer to keep fans engaged on all the happenings with the Rush hockey team. Binetti and Tetrault re-unite on the microphone, having been broadcast partners for the 2015-16 ECHL season on radio.
“What’s the Rush?” will debut tomorrow on Rush social media platforms and the team website. Varying in length, the podcast will feature signed players in the offseason, and will continue in-season with player perspectives on the team’s performance, upcoming promotional nights, and more. It will range from topics about hockey, sports in general, life, and anything in between.
“Coach and I wanted to find a way to connect with fans this summer, and help rekindle that spark for Season Ticket Holders and fans to feel connected to the players. This will surely accomplish that,” Binetti said of the broadcast project with Tetrault. “When it came time to set up the show, we decided that we’d talk about anything and everything. Coach and I have a great relationship both on and off the ice, and both in and outside of the organization, that we can talk about any topic with our players and team personnel and make it a fun time.”
“What’s the Rush?” will be a semi-weekly production, and will debut tomorrow, June 29th. As the offseason progresses, Tetrault and Binetti will field questions from fans via social media platforms to help give the community a voice in speaking with the players.
