(RAPID CITY, SD) – The Rapid City Rush, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Arizona Coyotes, announced today that rookie forward Keeghan Howdeshell has been recalled to the AHL’s Tucson Roadrunners. The call-up serves as the first Black Hills Chiropractic Roster Adjustment of the week.
Howdsehell returns to the AHL for the fourth time this season with Tucson. During his most recent call-up on January 18th, he made his AHL debut with the Roadrunners against the Ontario Reign and registered an even rating.
With the Rush this season, Howdeshell is the fourth leading scorer on the team and third amongst rookies, compiling 13 goals, 24 assists, and 37 points in 47 games. Additionally, he’s tied for 15th in the ECHL in rookie scoring. He leaves the Rush on a seven-game point streak dating back to February 21st at Idaho, earning 3 goals, 7 assists, and 10 points in that timespan.
The Rush conclude their eight-game home stand with a “three-in-three” against the Idaho Steelheads this Friday, March 13th, Saturday, March 14th, and Sunday, March 15th. Puck drop for Friday and Saturday is slated for 7:05 p.m. MDT, while Sunday is slated for 4:05 p.m. MDT at Rushmore Plaza Civic Center Ice Arena. For Saturday’s game, we're throwing it back to Rapid City’s sports history, paying homage to the Continental Basketball Association's Rapid City Thrillers with “Thrillers Night” against Idaho, sponsored by Vast Broadband. The Rush will wear basketball/Thriller themed jerseys, presented by Dave Schmidt Insurance Agency. Additionally, we'll rename ourselves the Thrillers for that night only, marking our only name change in team history! Get your tickets for the game HERE.
