LAST TIME OUT: Jon Martin scored twice and Rory Kerins had a goal and an assist but the Rush gave up a late lead and were beaten by the Allen Americans in overtime 4-3 on Saturday night at The Monument Ice Arena.

THE PLAYOFF PICTURE: Rapid City has six games remaining on its schedule and currently sits four points out of a playoff spot. Three of the remaining games are at home with three on the road. Entering play on Tuesday, second place and sixth place in the Mountain Division are separated by just five points. The Rush have one game remaining at Kansas City, two in Wichita and three at home against Idaho.

ON A SKID: The Rush have lost their last five games, the last two of which came in overtime. In their past 15 games, the Rush have lost four in a row, then won six straight, and now dropped five consecutive.

THE SEASON SERIES: Tuesday is the seventh and final game between the Rush and Kansas City Mavericks this season. Rapid City leads the season series 4-2 so far. Rapid City has won its only game at Cable Dahmer Arena thus far, a 4-3 overtime win on January 16. Keanu Yamamoto scored the game-winning goal in that game. Matt Marcinew leads the Rush with five goals in the series and Marcinew and Logan Nelson are tied for the team lead with seven points.

BOMBS AWAY: Rapid City matched a season-high with 51 shots on goal in Saturday’s 4-3 overtime loss against Allen. The Rush had previously put up 51 shots in a 6-2 loss at Wichita on February 4. Rapid City has more than 40 shots in four of its last five games.

ON THE ROAD: The Rush will play their final three road games of the regular season this week, with one on Tuesday at Kansas City then two on Thursday and Friday in Wichita. The Rush are 11-21-1-0 away from home this season and have dropped their last two games on the road. On the other side, Kansas City is 19-7-6-1 at home this season.

ODDS AND ENDS: In two games since being activated from a 20-game injured reserve stint, Rory Kerins has a goal and two assists...in three games since being activated from an 18-game injured reserve stint, Ilya Nikolaev has two goals and two assists...Kansas City goaltender Shane Starrett is second in the ECHL in both saves and minutes played and leads the league with 20 losses.

UP NEXT: The Rush will head to Wichita for a pair of games against the Thunder. The first is on Thursday night and puck drop is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. CT at INTRUST Bank Arena.
