(RAPID CITY, S.D.) – The Rapid City Rush, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Calgary Flames, announced Wednesday via a Heartland Health and Wellness Roster Adjustment, defenseman Jarrod Gourley and goaltender Connor Murphy have been assigned to the Rush by the AHL’s Calgary Wranglers.
Murphy has logged two wins in four starts for the Rush this season, including the overtime win in Iowa where Gourley scored the game-tying and the game-winning goals.
The 6-foot-4 standout from Union College logged the most saves in a single game this season with 47 in a 3-2 loss to Kansas City during the home opener.
Gourley dressed in only two games for Rapid City prior to his recall, but is touted as one of the top defensemen in the pipeline, with three points in 12 AHL games as he enters his second full season of pro hockey.
The Rush have subsequently placed Jason Pawloski on the injured reserve list retroactive to Sunday, November 12.
