THE RUSH HOUR WITH COACH JOE FERRAS DROPS THE PUCK TONIGHT

(RAPID CITY, SD) – The Rapid City Rush are pleased to announce the first of 12 installments of “The Rush Hour with Coach Joe Ferras”, hosted by the new “Voice of the Rush”, Mark Binetti. The first show is tonight at H2O Bar and Grill, and will air from 6 PM-7PM on 100.3 The FOX, the official radio home of your Rapid City Rush.

Mark and Coach will be joined by two players this evening, in rookie defenseman Brett Kostolansky, and newly named Oakley/CHL Player of the Week, Tristin Llewellyn. Both players contributed substantially over the weekend as the Rush spoiled not one, but two home openers, beating 2013 President’s Cup Runner Up, the Wichita Thunder 2-1 on Friday, and the Quad City Mallards by a 6-4 score on Saturday. Llewellyn hails from the University of Michigan and posted 5 points for the Rush in their opening weekend on the road, scoring 1 goal and helping out 4 other times. Kostolansky is a rookie out of the University of New Hampshire, and played solid minutes this weekend in his first two professional games, notching an assist and finishing with a +4 rating (+3 @ Quad City).

“I am very much looking forward to hosting this show with Coach Ferras”, says new Media Relations Director and “Voice of the Rush”, Mark Binetti. “I have always wanted to host a weekly radio show for a team, and this show affords me the opportunity to do so. Having worked with Coach Ferras has been a phenomenal experience so far, and I can’t wait to see what kind of presence he brings to a broadcast. I also can’t wait to see the fan support for the show. Since I came to Rapid City, I have been told numerous times that the restaurant ‘gets packed to the brim’ for this broadcast. I hope we don’t break any fire codes tonight!”

“It’s very exciting to get the Coaches show started again for the new season,” said Rush Head Coach Joe Ferras, “With our loyal and dedicated Rush fans and the brand new set up at H2O Bar and Grill this will make for a great evening out and an opportunity to come and visit with the players in a relaxed setting”.
