(RAPID CITY, SD) – The Rapid City Rush is pleased to announce the dates for the first two home games of the season. Both games will be against the Rush’s oldest and fiercest CHL rival, the Colorado Eagles, next weekend.
“It’s obviously been a very exciting a monumental week getting all of the details finalized to become a new expansion team in the ECHL,” said Head coach and GM Joe Ferras. “Having the opportunity to open the 2014-15 ECHL Regular Season against the Colorado Eagles makes all the hard work behind the scenes that much more exciting. Since the beginning, our goal as an organization has been to bring to our loyal fans the highest standard of entertainment on a nightly basis, and having the Eagles here for opening night carries on this tradition.”
Both games will be played at Premier Home Mortgage Ice in Rushmore Plaza Civic Center next Friday, October 17th, and Saturday, October 18th. The October 17th game will serve as the season opening game as the Rush begin their new journey as a proud member of the ECHL. Each game will start at 7:05 p.m., and the home-opener will showcase a special hour-long pregame show hosted by Mark Binetti, the “Voice of the Rush”, starting at 6:05 p.m. on 100.3 The FOX, the official station of Rush Nation. Single-game tickets for the home opener will go on sale starting tomorrow, October 11th, at 12 PM EST
