(RAPID CITY, S.D.)—The Rapid City Rush, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Calgary Flames, announced Tuesday, in an Active Life Chiropractic Roster Adjustment, Alex Campbell has been assigned to the Rush by the AHL’s Calgary Wranglers. Ryan Hofer was also recalled by the Wranglers today.
Campbell, 25, started the season with Rapid City and recorded four points (3g+1a) over his first three games, including the game-winning goal on opening night at Kansas City. Campbell was recalled to the Wranglers and played in two AHL games, most recently last Wednesday against Laval.
The third-year pro from Châteauguay, Quebec is in his first year under contract with the Calgary Wranglers.
Hofer, 24, has played in every Rush game thus far, tallying three points (2g+1a) in seven contests and a plus-3 rating. His game-tying goal last Friday at New Mexico aided Rapid City’s comeback victory over the Goatheads.
The Winnipeg native joins the Calgary system after three seasons in the Washington Capitals organization, split between the South Carolina Stingrays and the AHL’s Hershey Bears. Hofer owns 56 career AHL games. This is his first call-up to the Wranglers.
