(RAPID CITY, SD) – The Rapid City Rush is pleased to announce the acquisition of rookie forward Taylor Law. Law comes to the Rush by virtue of a free-agent signing.
“Taylor is a big, strong kid that has great hands with the puck,” said Rush Head coach and GM Joe Ferras. “We’re having trouble putting pucks in the net at the moment, and he’s been a player that when given opportunities and chances he’ll score goals. Taylor gives us youth and size up front, which we’re always looking to have on our roster, and we feel that he will be a great addition for our hockey club.”
A native of Markham, Ontario, Law, 24, enters his rookie season of professional hockey. Before coming to the Black Hills, he spent time in the training camp of the Indy Fuel, ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Chicago Blackhawks. Prior to playing professionally, Law attended Canisius College in the NCAA ranks, and played for the Golden Griffins for four seasons. In his 115 games with his alma mater, Law racked up 26 goals and 23 assists for 49 points, and played alongside current New York Islanders forward and former AHL Calder Cup Champion Cory Conacher.
