KAUNISTO SENT TO FLORIDA FOR FUTURES

(RAPID CITY, SD) – The Rapid City Rush announced earlier today that defenseman Steve Kaunisto has been traded to the Florida Everblades for future considerations.

Kaunisto, entering his fifth year as a professional, suited up in 19 games for the Rush, recording 5 assists. The transaction marks the third time that both the Rush and the Everblades have made an exchange.

The Rush continue their three-game series against the Brampton Beast this Friday and Saturday, February 13th and 14th, with puck drop for both contests slated for 7:05 p.m. MST. On Friday night, the Rush will celebrate the career of recently retired Rush forward Konrad Reeder with a pregame ceremony before the puck is dropped.
