RUSH ANNOUNCE FULFILLMENT OF SEASON-ENDING TRADES
(RAPID CITY, SD) – The Rapid City Rush, in conjunction with the ECHL, announced the fulfillment of the remainder of their trades for future considerations with member ECHL clubs. Prior to the conclusion of the season, there were three trades for future considerations that needed to be completed:
1. To complete a trade with the Evansville IceMen in which the Rush received Kale Kerbashian for future considerations, the IceMen selected Kyle Just from a list of eligible players.
2. To complete a trade with the Evansville IceMen in which the Rush received Kevin Harvey for future considerations, the IceMen selected Patrick Cullen from a list of eligible players.
3. To complete a trade with the Orlando Solar Bears in which the Rush traded Joe Howe for future considerations, the Rush selected Kirill Tulupov, who became available with the Solar Bears after a prior trade with the Wichita Thunder.
Tulupov, a native of Moskva, Russia, comes to the Rush after a successful season in the ECHL, his second in the “Premiere ‘AA’ Hockey League”, with the Wichita Thunder, recording 21 points (7 G, 14 Ast) in 63 games. In addition to his 96 games in his ECHL career, Tulupov also skated with the AHL’s Oklahoma City Barons for 33 games, recording 8 points, and also spent 4 of his 6 professional seasons in the KHL. Prior to playing professionally, the 6’3”, 227-pound defenseman played with the Chicoutimi Sangueneens and Victoriaville Tigres in the QMJHL, and was drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the 2006 NHL Draft (3rd Round-#67 Overall).
