(RAPID CITY, SD) – The Rapid City Rush announced today the date and time of the team’s 2nd Annual “State of the Nation” Event.
“We are looking forward to entering into our first summer as a member of the ECHL with so many positive and exciting things to build off of after getting into the ECHL just days prior to the season, and following that with one of the most successful seasons in franchise history,” said Rush Head Coach and GM Joe Ferras. “This summer should bring several exciting announcements dealing with player signings, player movement, and league matters. The ‘State of the Nation’ has become an annual event that allows us to share with our loyal fans, Season Ticket Holders, and corporate partners the up-to-date happenings within the Rush organization.”
The event will take place at the Ice Arena in Rushmore Plaza Civic Center on Friday, June 19th, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Like last season’s counterpart, it will feature a question and answer session featuring Coach Ferras, Associate Coach Mark De Santis, and Assistant GM Brandon Schumacher. “Select-a-Seat” opportunities will also be available for those in attendance, with markings on open seats in the arena.
In addition, 10 specialty jerseys from last season will be given away to current Season Ticket Holders in attendance: 2 Military Night, 2 Pink at the Rink, 2 Dr. Seuss, 2 St. Patrick, and 2 Scott Wray jerseys. Season Ticket Holders who bring a referral to the event will be entered to win one of two of the mentioned jerseys. The Rush will also unveil an important part of the 2015-16 ECHL season, with further details to follow. Dinner will also be provided.
“The State of the Nation is always an exciting event for the Rush staff and all involved,” said Rush Assistant GM Brandon Schumacher. “This is a great way for us to connect with fans and answer their questions on seasons past and seasons coming. There are many exciting new aspects to this year’s event, including a Season Ticket Holder specialty jersey giveaway. It’s also a great way for us as an organization to catch up with Season Ticket Holders and meet new and potential faces of Rush Nation.”
