(RAPID CITY, SD) – The Rapid City Rush, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Arizona Coyotes, announced today that Benjamin Dieude-Fauvel has been acquired in a trade for future considerations with the Evansville IceMen.
Dieude-Fauvel comes to the Rush in the midst of his seventh season of professional hockey in North America. The 6’2”, 220-pound blue-liner skated in only 4 games with the IceMen, recording a lone assist this season. Last year, the Bordeaux, France native played in 31 games in what was his second season with the Quad City Mallards (4 G-5 Ast-9 Pts), and earned his first call-up to the American Hockey League in his career, suiting up in 20 games with the Iowa Wild (1 Ast).
Two seasons ago, in the final year of operation in the Central Hockey League, Dieude-Fauvel put together a career year, playing in all but one regular season game with the Quad City Mallards. In his first season with the Flock, he scored 11 goals, recorded 29 assists, and totaled 40 points, while maintaining a +17 rating. For the last two summers, he has represented his home nation of France in international competition in the IIHF World Championships playing in 17 total contests.
