LANGHAMER RE-CALLED TO NHL FOR SECOND TIME THIS SEASON

(RAPID CITY, SD) – The Arizona Coyotes, NHL affiliate of the Rapid City Rush, announced that former Rush goaltender and current Springfield Falcons net-minder, Marek Langhamer, has been re-called to the National Hockey League, marking the second time the rookie has made it to the top level in professional hockey.

Langhamer earned this same headline earlier this season in November, as he was called straight from Rapid City to the Coyotes, backing up in his first trip to the NHL, becoming the first player to make it to the top level of professional hockey in Rapid City Rush history. With the Rush this season, the 6’2”, 185-pound backstopper played in 8 contests, registering a 5-2-1 record along with a 2.23 GAA, .935 SV%, and a lone shutout that marked his first win as a professional hockey player. Following his first NHL re-call, the Moravska Trebova, Czech Republic native went to the AHL affiliate of the Rush, the Springfield Falcons, and posted a 6-6-1 record in 13 appearances with the Falcons, coupled with a 3.52 GAA and .885 SV%. Prior to playing professionally, Langahmer enjoyed a stellar four-year career with the WHL’s Medicine Hat Tigers, and was drafted by the Arizona Coyotes in the 2012 NHL Draft (7th Rd-#184).
