(RAPID CITY, SD) – The Rapid City Rush, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Arizona Coyotes, announced today that Senior Account Executive Katie Lenerville has been named the Director of Sales and Marketing of the Wenatchee Wild of the BCHL.
“We want to thank Katie for everything that she brought to the Rush organization. She was an important member of the organization,” said Rush GM Joe Ferras. “This is an opportunity for Katie to run her own sales department as the Director of Sales and Marketing, and we wish her well in her new endeavor.”
Lenerville completed her second season as an Account Executive for the Rush this past year, and third overall of working with the team. She is a native of Dickinson, ND, and graduated from high school there in 2005. After high school, she attended a Christian college in Minnesota, graduating in 2007, and also played on the varsity basketball team for two seasons, where she won an NCCA National Championship. Following college, Lenerville moved to Orange County, CA in 2009 and attended UC Irvine to pursue a science degree before moving to Rapid City in 2013.
“I am very sad to be leaving the Black Hills. I am leaving to pursue my career goals in the realm of hockey, and I can’t thank the ownership group and the entire Rapid City Rush organization enough for playing such a major role in my development in this profession,” said Lenerville of her new beginnings with the Wild. “To my Season Ticket Holders, you have become my extended Rush family, and for that I will be forever grateful. You were all such amazing people and I will truly miss each one of you. I’ll miss Rapid City, but I can’t wait to take this next step in my career and look forward to what the future holds in Washington!”
The Wenatchee Wild is the only American hockey team out of 17 in the BCHL (British Columbia Hockey League), a junior “A” league in the British Columbia province of Canada. Help us wish Katie the best as she pursues this outstanding opportunity!
