RUSH AND ROADRUNNERS SWAP

(RAPID CITY, SD) – The Tucson Roadrunners, AHL affiliate of the Rapid City Rush, announced that forwards Hunter Fejes and Lindsay Sparks have been recalled to the Roadrunners in the AHL. Additionally, defensemen Dysin Mayo and Justin Hache have been re-assigned to the Rush.

Fejes earns his second call up of the season to the Roadrunners. The 6’1”, 190-pound forward has skated in 19 games with the Rush, notching 5 goals and 6 assists in that span. Prior to playing professionally, Fejes spent four seasons in the NCAA with Colorado College, and was drafted by the Arizona Coyotes in the 2012 NHL Draft (6th Rd-#178).

Sparks earns his first call up to the Roadrunners this season after the hottest start of his career with the Rush. This season in the Black Hills, Sparks has 11 goals and 14 assists for 25 points in 21 games, and at the time of his recall is tied three ways for fifth in ECHL scoring, and tied seven ways for eighth in ECHL goal scoring. The 5’9”, 180-pound winger is in the midst of his fourth professional season, and second campaign with the Rush where he has 53 points in 52 games. Prior to turning pro, the Oakville, Ontario native played four seasons of hockey in the NCAA with the Michigan Wolverines.

Mayo returns to the Rush after making his team debut in a 2-1 overtime loss to the Colorado Eagles on November 26th. The 6’0”, 185-pound blueliner played in 3 games with Tucscon, registering 1 assist, and did not log any additional playing time since his recall last week. Last year, he skated in his first professional action with the former Springfield Falcons of the AHL, notching his first professional point, also an assist, in 5 games played. Prior to playing professionally, the Victoria, British Columbia native skated in 248 games over four seasons with the Edmonton Oil Kings of the WHL, where he recorded 28 goals, 106 assists, and 134 points. With the Oil Kings, he won the 2014 WHL Championship and Memorial Cup Championship, and was drafted by the Arizona Coyotes in the 2014 NHL Draft (5th Rd-#133).

Justin Hache comes to the Rush on his first assignment of the season from the Roadrunners. The 6’2”, 203-pound defensemen has skated in five games with Tucson this season, notching a lone assist in that time. Before this re-assignment, each game of the third-year pro’s career had been played in the AHL, where he logged 138 games and 21 points (2g-19ast) in the Coyotes farm system with the former Portland Pirates and Springfield Falcons, and current Roadrunners. Prior to playing professionally, the native of Petit-Rocher, New Brunswick notched 112 points in 222 games the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles and the Shawinigan Cataractes of the QMJHL, with the latter of which he won the 2012 CHL Memorial Cup. He was drafted by the Arizona Coyotes in the 2012 NHL Draft (7th Rd-#208).
