HOWDESHELL NAMED VICTORIA’S GARDEN RUSH PLAYER OF THE MONTH

(RAPID CITY, SD) – The Rapid City Rush, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Arizona Coyotes, announced today that rookie forward Keeghan Howdeshell has been named the Victoria’s Garden Rush Player of the Month for December.

Howdeshell led all Rush skaters in scoring in December and averaged a point-per-game in the month. The 6’1”, 205-pound forward registered 9 points in 9 games, scoring 3 times and assisting 6, while finishing with an even rating.

On behalf of Howdeshell, a flower arrangement from Victoria’s Garden will be donated to the teachers of Knollwood Elementary School.

“I’m honored to be selected as the Victoria’s Garden Player of the Month for December for our team,” Howdeshell remarked on receiving the monthly team honor. “I feel like I’m starting to fit into my groove as a professional athlete, and I have my teammates and coaches to thank for that. I’m playing with confidence and trying to do the little things right each day to ensure success for both my team and my career.

“I chose to donate flowers from Victoria’s Garden to the teachers at Knollwood Elementary,” Howdeshell continued. “I’ve been on school appearances in Rapid City this season, and to see firsthand the hard work they do every day in educating our youth is remarkable. I hope they accept this as a small thank you for everything they do for the children and community of Rapid City.”

A native of Fenton, Michigan, Howdeshell is in his first year as a professional, currently on contract with the AHL’s Tucson Roadrunners. He has 6 goals, 10 assists, and 16 points to his credit in 25 games. Before playing professionally, he played with the OHL’s Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds and earned career totals of 62 goals, 51 assists, 113 points, and a +53 rating in 127 games. Prior to his OHL experience, the Brighton, Michigan native played in the USHL with the Muskegon Lumberjacks and the United States National Team Development Program for three seasons. With Team USA, he won a bronze medal at the 2016 U-18 World Junior Championships.

Residing in Rapid City’s first and oldest cold storage building, Victoria’s Garden has been serving Rapid City customers since 1989.
