LAST TIME OUT
Ryan Wagner buried the overtime game-winning goal to deliver a 5-4 victory for the Rapid City Rush over the Idaho Steelheads at The Monument Ice Arena on Wednesday. The Rush built a 4-1 lead late in the second period. Parker Bowman, Blake Bennett, Rasmus Ekström, and Quinn Olson all tallied. Idaho fought back and put home three consecutive goals of their own, tying the game late in the third and forcing overtime at 4-4. In the overtime, Arsenii Sergeev made a breakaway save on the first shift, and four total in the period. Three minutes into OT, Ryan Wagner received a setup from Brett Davis, dangled a Steelheads defender one-on-one, then wristed home a top-shelf shot to end the night.

NINE TIMES OUT OF TEN
The captain continued his career-best goal-scoring run, and he waited until the final shot of the night to do it. With his overtime winner, Ryan Wagner has now scored exactly one goal in nine of the last ten games, with the only exception being the Rush’s shutout loss on November 14^th at Indy. Wagner enters the day tied for third in the ECHL with those nine goals, and fourth at 19 points.

OUT OF THE SLUMP
Wagner’s linemates each had their best games in some time on Wednesday. Blake Bennett broke a five-game point drought—his longest since the spring of 2023—and a seven-game goal drought with his second-period tally. Brett Davis, who set him up on that goal, picked up two primary assists for his first multi-point effort of the season.

HIS FIRST GAME-ENDER
While certainly not the first game-winning goal of Ryan Wagner’s career, Wednesday was his first overtime winner in professional hockey after 405 games between the AHL and ECHL. When asked on the ice how he was feeling, he simply told the crowd, ‘Happy Thanksgiving!’

A MILESTONE FOR CHYZ
Ryan Chyzowski plays his 200^th professional game tonight. The fifth-year pro has played 129 in the ECHL and 70 in the AHL, owning 116 career points as a pro.

FOUR LINES DEEP
For the first time this season, all four lines scored in the Rush’s Wednesday victory. Parker Bowman got it started from the fourth line just five minutes into the game; the Rush have won six consecutive games in which Bowman has scored, dating back to last season.

FEASTING IN OVERTIME
Wednesday was the Rush’s fifth overtime played and third victory. Rapid City is tied with Cincinnati and Worcester for the most OT wins in the league.

MORIN’S BACK
The Rush received a Thanksgiving treat with the assignment of Étienne Morin from the Calgary Wranglers. The 6-foot defenseman has played six games up in the AHL, and two with the Rush in an earlier stint just three weeks ago.
