(RAPID CITY, S.D.)—The Rapid City Rush, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Calgary Flames, announced Tuesday, in an Active Life Chiropractic Roster Adjustment, the Rush have added eight players from the American Hockey League’s Calgary Wranglers.

The Wranglers have assigned Quinn Olson (F), Alex Young (F), Alex Campbell (F), Ryan Hofer (F), Ryder Boulton (F), Owen Say (G), and Semyon Konopsky (G) to Rapid City.

Additionally, Hunter Donohoe (D) has been released from his Training Camp try-out for the purpose of reassignment to Rapid City.

Olson, 25, is a familiar name to Rush fans, having spent all of last season in Rapid City. One of the Rush’s most prolific offensive players, Olson finished fourth on the team with 50 points (17g+33a) in 61 games.

The Calgary native was Rapid City’s beacon of consistency last year, having recorded a point in 20 of his last 25 games and 62% of all contests. Olson is entering his third professional season and second in the Calgary organization.

Young, 25, was one of the most dangerous goal scorers in the ECHL last season, having led the Atlanta Gladiators with 59 points (27g+32a) while playing in all 72 games. He finished tied for 15^th in goals in the league, while his nine power play goals were tied for 12^th.

The Calgary native and former seventh-round draft choice of the San Jose Sharks in 2020, Young competed in the Wranglers’ exhibition contest against Abbotsford on Tuesday and scored Calgary’s lone goal in the game. The Rush acquired Young’s ECHL rights from Atlanta on August 20^th.

Campbell, 25, comes over from the New Jersey Devils organization for his third professional season. The left-shot forward recorded 34 points (10g+24a) in just 46 games with the Adirondack Thunder last season and played in all seven Kelly Cup Playoff contests.

A Chateauguay, Quebec native, Campbell previously spent the 2024-25 season in the Nashville Predators organization as a rookie.

Hofer, 24, joins the Calgary system after three seasons in the Washington Capitals organization, split between the South Carolina Stingrays and the AHL’s Hershey Bears. In 97 career ECHL contests, Hofer has recorded 43 points (14g+29a) while also playing in 17 playoff games. Hofer also owns 56 career AHL games.

The Winnipeg native was drafted in the sixth round by the Washington Capitals in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.

Boulton, 20, signed his first professional contract over the summer, a one-way AHL deal with the Wranglers. Boulton spent the last three seasons at the major junior level in the Ontario Hockey League. In 136 games between the London Knights and Brantford Bulldogs, the hard-nosed forward accumulated 19 points (8g+11a) and 220 penalty minutes, while winning two OHL Championships and the 2025 Memorial Cup Championship.

Boulton is the son of 15-year NHL enforcer and current New York Islanders scout Eric Boulton. His older brother, Ryder, has signed with the Toronto Marlies.

Say, 25, is entering his second season in the Calgary organization. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound goaltender posted a 6-7-4 record with a 3.36 goals against average in 19 games with the Wranglers before a season-ending injury in January.

The London, Ontario native competed collegiately at Mercyhurst University and Notre Dame, where his 2.82 GAA led the Fighting Irish in 2024-25.

Konopsky, 20, is set to make his professional debut in Rapid City while on an AHL contract with the Wranglers. This will be his first North American season, having played three years of junior hockey in the MHL, Russia’s highest major junior league.

The 6-foot-5, 194-pound goaltender posted a 2.28 goals against average and .930 save percentage with Loko-76 Yaroslavl last season. Konopsky is a native of Volgoda, Russia.

Donohoe, 26, signed his first professional contract with the Rush on March 24^th and has re-upped for his first full season. Donohoe played six games at the tail end of last year and finished with one goal scored (1g+0a). The 6-foot-5, 215-pound left-shot defenseman also competed in the Wranglers’ exhibition game Tuesday.

The South Surrey, B.C. native played five collegiate seasons in Canadian USports. Donohoe spent four years at Grant MacEwan University in Edmonton, then transferred to Toronto Metro University for his fifth year of eligibility.
