(RIO RANCHO, N.M.)—The Rapid City Rush, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Calgary Flames, announced Friday, in an Active Life Chiropractic Roster Adjustment, goaltender Owen Say and defenseman Kyle Walker have been recalled by the AHL’s Calgary Wranglers.
Say, 25, has been the Rush’s top goaltending option through two weeks of regular season play. The second-year pro currently holds a 3-1 record, 2.11 goals against average, and .929 save percentage.
The London, Ontario native returns to the AHL, where he owns 19 games played with the Wranglers, all coming last season before a season-ending injury in January. Say competed collegiately at Mercyhurst and Notre Dame before turning pro.
Walker, 26, has played in all five games this season and recorded nine penalty minutes, including his first professional fight on October 23rd against Kansas City.
The rookie from Leduc, Alberta played three AHL games with the Wranglers on a Professional Tryout at the end of last season. He began his ECHL career with the Reading Royals following five years of college hockey at Mount Royal University.
