COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT: RUSH DONATE EQUIPMENT TO THE RHA

(RAPID CITY, SD) – The Rapid City Rush, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Arizona Coyotes and AHL’s Springfield Falcons, announced today that the team donated equipment to the Rushmore Hockey Association last week.

The RHA received equipment from the Rush hockey team for the upcoming season, which included pant shells, pad socks, and chest protectors, among many other necessities for safety on the ice.

“It is very important for the Rush organization to help out the youth hockey in Rapid City in any way possible. It has always been a priority of the Rush to aid in the continuing growth of hockey in Rapid City at all levels,” said Rush Head Coach and GM, Joe Ferras.

The Rushmore Hockey Associate is responsible for fielding the Rushmore Thunder: a youth hockey initiative that has been in operation since 1995. There are teams from all different levels of youth hockey, including Mites, Squirts, Pee Wee, Bantam, and Varsity, where the Boys won their second-consecutive South Dakota State Championship last season, while the Girls finished as a South Dakota State Runner-Up.
