COOPER CALLED UP TO TUCSON

(RAPID CITY, SD) – The Tucson Roadrunners, AHL affiliate of the Rapid City Rush, announced today that Rush rookie forward Mark Cooper has been recalled to the Roadrunners organization.

Cooper heads to the Roadrunners in the midst of a heated playoff race for the final playoff spot in the AHL’s Pacific Division with 7 games remaining. The 6’2”, 190-pound forward was sensational for the Rush this season, racking up 16 goals, 26 assists, and 42 points in 54 games in a Rush uniform. His 26 assists marks a new single-season rookie record, and his 42-point season currently stands as the third-best season for a rookie in team history. With Tucson this season, Cooper has appeared in just five games. Prior to playing professionally, the Toronto, Ontario native played four years of college hockey with Bowling Green State University in the NCAA, earning 91 points in 137 games.
